This article operates under the assumption that a captive portal is already set-up, and the Guest Self-Registration Authenticatin method has been selected. If this step has not already been completed, please refer to this article for assistance.
Once you have completed setup of your captive portal, you can test it following these steps.
- Open your splash page via the captive portal page. Scroll down to the Portal Settings header, and under the sub header Splash Page URL, click the link.
- On this page, enter in your name and email address. Click the check boxes for Agree with Terms of Service and Subscribe to Newsletter.
- Click Register. You will then be shown a success page stating "You are online."
- Back in the IronWiFi console, on the left page navigate to users -> Guests.
- You should see your name and email you entered. If you do not, then the guest authentication method is not properly working.
